Pocki is a free expense tracking app for Android, developed by The Anxious XingXing, that helps individuals and couples track their everyday spending. You can keep several bank accounts, cards and cash in different currencies, organise spending with your own categories, and share an account (such as a joint account) with a partner so you both see and add its transactions. Pocki can also read payment notifications from your banking apps and suggest expenses for you to accept, edit or decline.
Pocki is free and has no ads. An optional subscription, Pocki Plus, adds extras such as sharing accounts, budgets and custom reports. Users can also leave a small voluntary tip to support its development.
Your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, Pocki receives your email address and the basic profile details Google shares, such as your name and profile picture.
You can add a nickname, a colour and a profile photo. They are shown only to you and to the people you share an account with, next to the transactions you add. Photos are stored in private storage and are deleted when you remove them or delete your account.
Accounts, balances, transactions (with date and optional time), categories, descriptions and notes, recurring and expected payments, budgets, savings goals, and settings such as your display currency and which features are switched on.
Auto-capture settings (which apps and cards to read), payment suggestions waiting for review, the last few notifications from your chosen apps that Pocki couldn't read as a payment (so you can see what was missed), bill-reminder and alert settings, and an offline copy of your recent data. None of this is sent to Pocki's servers. It is removed when you sign out or uninstall the app.
To convert currencies in reports, your phone asks the free Frankfurter service (European Central Bank rates) for rates between currencies on given dates. Only currency codes and dates are sent, never your transactions.
When you share an account, Pocki stores the email address you invite. People you share an account with can see that account, its transactions, the categories used on it, and your email address. Nothing is shared until they accept your invite.
Auto-capture is optional and stays off until you turn it on and grant Android's "notification access". Pocki then reads notifications only from the apps you choose (for example, your banking app), on your phone. Payment notifications are kept on your phone as suggestions. Nothing is sent to Pocki's servers unless you accept a suggestion, and then only the resulting transaction (amount, description, date and account) is saved, together with a technical identifier that prevents duplicates. The notification text itself is not uploaded. For apps you haven't chosen, Pocki only remembers the app's name if it sent a payment-like notification, so it can suggest it in settings. You can turn auto-capture off at any time in Android settings.
You have a personal invite code. If a new user enters your code, Pocki records that they were invited by you, so both of you get the free month of Pocki Plus. Neither of you can see the other's data because of this; the record is deleted with either account.
Subscriptions and tips are paid through Google Play. Pocki and RevenueCat (which checks purchases for us) receive a purchase record linked to your Pocki account ID: product, price, country, dates and subscription status. Pocki never sees your name, email address or payment details from Google.
Only to run Pocki: to sign you in, store and sync your records across your devices and with the people you share accounts with, and to answer your messages. Pocki does not show ads, does not sell your data, and does not use analytics or tracking tools.
Pocki makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Pocki relies on these service providers:
International transfers. Your data is stored in the European Union (Ireland). Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States; those transfers rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. For users in Brazil, storing data in the EU is an international transfer under the LGPD and is made to provide the service you asked for (LGPD Art. 33 V and IX).
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access rules in the database ensure each person can only see their own data and the accounts that were shared with them. Pocki's data is excluded from Android device backups. So that Pocki works without a connection, it keeps a copy of your recent data on your phone, plus any transactions you add offline until they upload; this copy is removed when you sign out.
Your data is kept until you delete your account, which you can do at any time in the app under Settings → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account, your private accounts and their transactions, your categories and your invites. Accounts you shared with someone are handed over to them, so their records stay intact. Transactions you added to someone else's shared account stay in their records but are no longer linked to you.
You can delete your Pocki account and all its data at any time:
What is deleted: your account, your profile and photo, your private accounts and their transactions, your categories, recurring payments and invites. What is kept: accounts you shared with someone are handed over to them so their records stay intact, and transactions you added to someone else's shared account stay in their records without any link to you. Nothing else is retained.
Pocki, by The Anxious XingXing, lets you delete parts of your data at any time without deleting your account:
Accounts and categories are archived rather than deleted in the app, so past reports stay correct; ask by email if you want them deleted completely. Data you delete is not kept anywhere else: Pocki keeps no backups or copies of deleted records. Purchase records for Pocki Plus are kept by Google Play and RevenueCat as required by tax law.
Under the GDPR (EU/UK) and the LGPD (Brazil) you can:
We answer within 30 days (15 days for requests under the LGPD). You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Ireland the Data Protection Commission, in the UK the ICO, in Brazil the ANPD, or the authority where you live.
Pocki is meant for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.
Pocki is provided free of charge and "as is". It is a tool to help you keep track of your money; it does not give financial advice, and you are responsible for checking that your records are accurate. Suggestions created from notifications may be wrong, which is why Pocki never saves them without your approval. Please don't use Pocki to store information you are not allowed to share, and only invite people you trust to your accounts.
Pocki Plus renews automatically every month or year until you cancel it in Google Play. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your Pocki account does not cancel the Google Play subscription, so cancel it in Google Play first. If your Plus ends, accounts you already share stay shared; you just can't send new invites.
Tips are voluntary, one-time payments that support Pocki's development. They don't unlock any features, and no goods are delivered. For refunds of subscriptions or tips, request one through Google Play, or email us within 30 days.
If Pocki's data-handling practices change, this page will be updated before the change takes effect, and important changes will be announced in the app.
Pocki is developed by The Anxious XingXing, who decides how your data is used (the "controller"). Questions, refunds or data requests? Email gearcorphub@gmail.com. This address is also the privacy contact ("encarregado") for users in Brazil.
